Mendix Testability and Maintainability (Essentials)

Goals and objectives

In this course you will learn the basics of building testable and maintainable Mendix applications, by applying the Menditect Testability Framework*. In this course we will cover:

  • The importance of testability and quality for Mendix apps
  • The test pyramid applied to Mendix app development
  • The testable application architecture (3-layer model)
  • Microflow typologies for testable applications

At the end of this training you will be able to:

  • Implement a testable Mendix application according to the Menditect Testability Framework*
  • Apply the principles and best practices for testability to both existing and new Mendix applications
  • Develop Mendix applications with a high level of maintainability and quality

During the course you will see practical examples and apply the framework yourself in guided exercises.

* The Menditect Testability Framework is published by Menditect B.V. as open source under CC BY 4.0 and can be freely adapted and used in your Mendix projects.

Practical details

This 2-day course is offered in our own calendar at a rate of €1.200 ex VAT. There is a minimum of four and a maximum of ten participants. In case of less registrations, the course may be moved to another date. In case of more registrations, participants may be moved to a next session. Contact days will be held in the Utrecht region; the exact location will be communicated approx. 2 weeks before the first day of the course.

Course materials will be in English. Spoken language depends on the participants: Dutch when possible, English when needed. This training will be delivered by an experienced Mendix (lead) developer and architect.

As the training contains practical exercises, a laptop with the latest Mendix MTS or LTS is required.
